Kim has over sixteen years of experience working in the design industry.
Kim first opened Snug as a Bug in 2000, a children’s nursery boutique that introduced Tyler to focusing on the customization of children’s rooms.
She later purchased Garden Style, a local floral and home accent shop, which gave her the inspiration and drive to start designing all aspects of the home.
After having three children of her own, the retail hours were handed over and her home based design business began.
In 2009, Megan graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from Texas Christian University.
After graduating she moved to Dallas, gaining experience in Hospitality Design under some of the lead designers in the Hospitality Industry from Remington Hotels.
She then relocated to Tyler in 2012 for the opportunity to learn from designers Leslie Jenkins from Jenkins Interiors and LeRae Musslewhite from Texture. While in Tyler, Megan fell in love with residential design.
With a lengthy resume of design experience between them over the years, the two decided to combine their strengths in 2016 and open the doors of Olive & Home. While the business was rooted in textiles, space planning, and interior design, the duo eventually expanded to their Olive & Home boutique storefront in Tyler as well.
A passion for style drives every design, while taking into account each customer's unique needs and life stage. Most homeowners don’t have the time to scout unique pieces that will make their home feel special and individualized. Megan and Kim find joy in taking those projects on for you, to make your home feel like an elevated reflection of your personality. While adding a touch of Olive and Home to every space, they leave their clients happy to say “I live at home.”
