Megan Hernandez & Kim Holley

Olive and Home is an East Texas based design studio led by designers Kim Holley and Megan Hernandez. Kim has over sixteen years experience working in the design industry.  First, opening Snug as a Bug, a children’s nursery boutique, in 2000 where she introduced Tyler to customizing a boutique store focusing on the customization of children’s rooms. She later purchased Garden Style, a local floral and home accent shop, which gave her the inspiration and drive to start designing all aspects of the home. After having three children of her own, the retail hours were handed over and her home based design business began.

In 2009, Megan graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from Texas Christian University. After graduating, she moved to Dallas gaining experience in Hospitality Design under some of the lead designers in the Hospitality Industry from Remington Hotels. Moving to Tyler in 2012 and working under designers Leslie Jenkins from Jenkins Interiors and LeRae Musslewhite from Texture, Megan’s love for residential design was formed.

Kim and Megan’s combined experience and passion for interior design led them to open the doors of Olive and Home in 2016.  Specializing in textiles, space planning and much more, they understand the unique style of each individual client ranging from the traditional to the contemporary.  While adding a touch of Olive and Home to every space, they leave their clients happy to say “I live at home.”
